This week’s Shaper of the Week is Christian Laing of Fusion Surfboards.

After COVID, Christian closed his retail shop, recognising early how quickly surf retail was shifting online. Now shaping out of a factory space in Long Jetty, he’s able to focus fully on manufacturing without the overheads of retail, while keeping the doors open for walk-ins.

Shaping for over 30 years, Christian has also spent winters shaping in Bali and ghost shaped boards for other companies in Australia and overseas. His work focuses on custom high-performance boards and Malibu's. Specialising in both polyester and epoxy construction. Not afraid to add lot's of colour into his artwork

A good all round short board concave into double concave making it easy to ride and forgiving.

High performance with concave through board. Good for perfect waves and high performance surfers.
