No. It is free to list a board on Junkyard Surf. You can create an account, upload your board, and start getting interest from buyers without paying anything upfront. A small platform fee is only taken if your board sells.

The platform fee covers secure payment processing, seller verification, messaging, fraud protection, and ongoing development of new features on Junkyard Surf. It also helps support customer service, infrastructure, and improvements that keep the marketplace safe and reliable for surfers and surf shops.

Transactions on Junkyard Surf are processed securely through Stripe. When a board is sold, the buyer’s payment is processed and the funds are held until the seller is verified. Once Stripe confirms the seller’s identity, payouts are released to their nominated account. This helps prevent fraud and keeps the marketplace safe for everyone.

Yes. Surf shops, shapers, and board resellers can list boards on Junkyard Surf. A business account is coming soon, but in the meantime businesses can list boards using a standard account and manage their inventory the same way as individual sellers.
